Well they sell them in the airport, so I assume there is no problem. I don't imagine Aer Lingus will care in the slightest as it's not within their remit to monitor what you bring into any country. You should be more concerned about what the German rules are on bringing meat into the country (although I doubt there'd be a problem as we are both within the EU). Maybe check their agriculture department's website, or customs information for Germany.

Do you intend to eat them on the flight or import them to Germany?

Aer Lingus is irrelevent, you can bring in up to 1KG of fresh meat to Germany.

Was it just me or did anyone else, before reading the thread, picture the OP carrying a paper plate with full fryup on it onto the aircraft? :)

Yes I can see now how the original question could be misconstrued but this afternoon a vacuum packed lot of rashers, sausages and pudding will be winging their way to feed some hungry Irish relatives over the next couple of days following arrival in Germany

Forget them we have bigger sausages to fry now.

Does anyone reckon Aer Lingus would let you bring your own cooked fry, on a paper plate, into the plane to eat?

    Has any1 tried it?

Ryanair might let you do it, but will prob charge you for the privilage of doing so.

Certainly don't bring any sausages into the US, the authorities there could take them as plastic explosives.

The EU is a customs union so there should be no reason why you could not bring meat to Germany.

Think there's a limit. OP just wanted to be sure before hand in case he was taken as a pudding terrorists :D
