Im with 3 and want to switch to meteor so Im thinking of paying up my contract and getting it done offically as I cant do it by jb because of my baseband. anywyas Im just wondering after its unlocked will it be perminitly unlocked or will I have to do it again if I update or restore the firmware?

permanently unlocked!
Ive done it to my 3gs and Ive jail-broken and restored and updated and it always remains unlocked!
