Hi, anyone any advice on what masks work well for glasses wearers during skirmishes?

I've been wearing a full facemask with mesh and its ok but I still get fogged up and its not very comfortable at all, does any body have a good solution which can go over glasses that they can recommend .

i also wear glasses and i have found the only reliable solutions, unfortunately contacts are not always practical if you taking part in long events

the ess striker turbofan goggles are large enough to allow you to wear glasses under the goggles and the fan helps to stop fogging, youc an also get prescription inserts example : http://www.esseyepro.com/Profile---ICE-Rx-Lens-Inserts_12_detail.html

you also have ess ice or guarder c4 style glasses that have inserts as well but these are not full seal so some may have an issue with them http://www.esseyepro.com/ICE---Profile-Rx-Lens-Inserts_63_detail.html

I got this off airsofteire and although it took me some time to get used to it I find that it is very comfortable over glasses.

I also got some ESS OTG but they fogged too much.

Thats the exact one I'm using. at the moment, but it keeps shifting and pressing glasses into my nose, I was looking for one that was a halfface type maybe. It's a pain to have fogging glasses and a restricted view through the mesh.

Now for a strange question, what kind (style) of glasses are u wearing?

I don't wear them at the moment but I think ill get some anyway, my glasses are standard metal framed ones.

I seen a anti fog mask in MIA which seems a good fit and I'm planning on getting one of those in the meantime, it was a good fit.

Bolle X 500 goggles are very good. All non mesh goggles will fog to some degree so use an anti fog wipe or solution before you go out to play.
Fogtech wipes are good but dont forget to wipe your glasses as well.

i wear glasses and have found that certain types of glasses are not suitable for wearing with goggles. i got goggles from mia i think they are yiper. they are quite large but cheap and sit perfectly with my glasses try them

I have a pair of desert locousts if thats spelt right and its been my best buy.

Never had a problem with fogging until the lenses got old but now bit of anti fog spray or wipes and i get a weekend of no fog.

But even still in the slighest breeze they stay clear when others fog up.
But on really hot days they stay clear as they are made for hot weather.

Were the viper ones, 27 euro which is not bad and I can put anti fog mix on them of required. The mesh is ok but I feel like I'm losing a lot of vision, especially when light is not so good.

Please dont skimp on eye protection.

I am not familiar with the Viper goggles but make sure they meet minimum standards and have at least 2.5mm lens.

I dont know what the standards are but I am confident some more knowledgeable person will be along soon.

As you are in Kildare why not go into www.protac.ie and look at their selction of goggles.

    Bolle X500 for 49 Euro http://www.protac.ie/store/index.php/protective-eyewear.html

what brand of anti-fog do you use Andy?
I've the desert locusts myself and have some fogging...not much though since I removed the foam around the edges.

You could spend a fortune on different types of goggles / anti fogs wipes / solutions / masks. Or just grab a pair of ESS Turbo Fan goggles. The rolls royce of goggles ? Maybe / Maybe not. But the work a treat. a real treat.

    * you will also have to pay handsomely for them, but its better to do it early than spend all the dough on other solutions first and end up buying them anyway ...

I use a few different types at the minute im using stuff called majik from hobby airsoft its made by jt paintball i think works well.

But i still recommend fog tech seems to be the best

I used turbofans for about a year. They work grand for skirmishes, I still use them for those.

They get uncomfortable after a few hours wear though, if your glasses have large frames they can dig in, and the noise can piss you off after a while, or affect your ability to hear people. They do fog, but rarely.

For longer games and milsims where there aren't BBs flying around constantly, I've been wearing ESS ICE with the script insert, you can get them from ESS direct. The same inserts fit the advancers, which are also quite nice (although foggier, I'm going to try them in cold weather and see).

Hey, yeah I wear glasses too. I originally had one of those 10 euro masks with the mesh. I took off the face part, so I had mesh goggles that could accommodate my glasses without fogging up.

Picked up a pair of Oakley M Frames with RX implants not to long ago, fantastic bit of kit. Means I can leave the glasses in my kit bag from now on :)

When I was Younger, I had a set of swimming goggles that were crafted for my near blindness, I wonder if a company does something similar with saftey glasses?

Of course, they are presciption saftey glasses. My father gets them free in work as they are a pre-requisite on the floor.

have you tried the sensei masks?
its the more rounded type mesh mask..
might help with the comfortable factor.

as for fogging, i would suggest anti fog sheats, or fairy liquid.

but i dont know how that would work out with typical glasses as i dont wear them.
