    Hi all,

just kicking off this thread for tutors/teachers and interested others on the Adult Refugee Programme. The ARP is a nationwide programme for delivering language and socialisation skills to refugee and all in possession of Stamp 4 from the GNIB. It is administered by the VEC's with County Dublin as the lead VEC. I am curious as to the impression those involved have of the programme.
I have heard that during the summer some teachers were made redundant in one VEC (despite having full classes and a waiting list of entrants) and feel that other teachers may have an interest in this, particularly in light of recent comments on further redundancies in the education sector.

    Hi space bar

Yes, we are all finishing up, sadly. Have you been offered redundancy, that is , enhanced redundancy, whatever that is! There aretalks of this but no details yet. My colleague and I are not sure what is happening. One has a CID but the other has only 'served' less than two years. Do you know anything about this?

    Thank you
