This is ridiculous anti-European crap from Sky news as usual.

We need to increase spending now that economic recession is over to prevent doube-dipping back into recession.

Time to ramp up government spending on Infrastructure projects and other economically beneficial spending and make cuts in areas where money is being wasted.

    No arguments here.

Why do MEPs need an 85% increase in their entertainment budgets though?

You were asked to vote yes for jobs.
They never told you it was their jobs, not yours.

Is that like Obama's "Change" campaign? He was actually talking about a change for the worse? Damn these wily politicians!

I suggest you read the relevant section of the forum charter -- this kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable.

They certainly don't... but other than Sky news suggesting that it may be true, I haven't seen any solid evidence that this is, in fact, the case.

See the links provided in this thread: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056062131
    (Post 40 onwards)

There are (many) links I provided to verify the 85% increase from lawyer sites, to The English Times.
Its well recorded that the vote on the 85% increase has been already taken and those responsible for opposing it not once by twice in opposing motions, been defeated.
