My wife has locked her keys in a 3 door ford fiesta 99. BOTH door handles are broken from the outside so she can't open the car from the outside. She's been getting in from the boot :D She was supposed to bring the car to the garage on tuesday. So just wondering any idea's how to get in. We're gonna call a mechanic tomorrow. I'm thinking he's gonna have to take one of the window's out. Am I right or will he be able to open the door easily enough. Any suggestions or (slagging) ;) will be helpful. Thanks. Christian

will a mechanic be cheaper than smashing the window and replacing it yourselves? if it's going to the garage in a few days anyway?

Get a coat hanger, bend the end to form a small hook at 90 degrees to the long length, the hook needs to have a flat taper. "ease" the top of the drivers door or passanger door away from the roofline enough to insert the hook, fish it onto the button to unlock the door, pull up button, and bobs the daddy. If you are gentle when pulling the door-top away from the roofline, you will not do any harm. Not too sure this is a good thing to be posting on a forum, so, if its a bit iffy, mods please delete. ds
