So as the title asks , Wheres the best place to buy games?

Ive seen massive differences in prices when online but I am bit reluctant to buy games from China or other Asian web sellers for fear of getting copies.Ideally we would all buy our games from Gamestop or such but when they are charging 50 - 60 euro for a new release , you have to start looking elsewhere.

Does anyone have experience with buying games from outside the EU ?

    Amazon.co.uk (free shipping over £25)
    www.sendit.com ( free shipping )
    thehut.com / zavvi.co.uk
gamestation.co.uk ( good prices on limited edition and collectors edition games )
    videogamesplus.ca ( fast shipping )

As for bricks and mortar stores, HMV generally have the cheapest prices, eg.Fallout New Vegas is going to be €44.99 next friday, and it's €43 from amazon at the moment. So if you want a game on release day without paying through the nose, theres not better place in my opinion.

    Hope that help's

http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk/ are often cheaper than amazon or play for certain games. free delivery also. I've ordered from them a few times without a problem

I've bought a few from Canada and when I was in Australia and I've only had issues playing them on older TV's where they play in black and white.

Also, play.com sometimes have good deals on used games and is worth checking out.

to find the cheapest games i usually use one of the 2 following sites

    http://www.gamestracker.com/
    and
    http://www.find-games.co.uk/

they search for the cheapest games but you will have to take into account that some sites will charge delivery

When it comes to the bricks and mortar stores my experience is that no one store is consistently cheaper than the others. One of Gamestop, xtravision, HMV and game can often have a big release E10 cheaper than any of the others, you just have to shop around.

If its PS3 or DS games you're looking for, videogamesplus.ca is good and the games are region free so you can use them ok.

Another thumbs up for amazon - only disadvantage is you're not helping the local economy as much I suppose.

You'll always get the new releases online for cheaper. When you're buying from a store the general trend seems to be that if Tesco stock it, they'll be the cheapest (MW2 was €15 cheaper than in any other high-street store, but was near impossible to pick up a copy). When it comes to Game, HMV, etc., these stores all price match with eachother, so shop around to find the cheapest option.

I always buy from HMV, because they don't try to sell you stupid **** like "laser burn insurance" when you're at the till.

I get new releases at HMV, since they're usually €44.99 compared to €49.99 at other stores. That's usually cheaper than online stores (or only a few euro more). And then thehut.com / play.com for the rest.
