No Service after Jailbreak/Unlock

    Ok, I've jailbroke & unlocked a good few iPhones (all models) but this one has me lost. It's a 3Gs 32GB belonging to my mate, I unlocked it for him when he got it first (3.1.3) and done it for him again on 4.0.1 . But he updated it to 4.1 by mistake the other day, so I had to downgrade it to 4.0.1 again and unlocked & jailbroke it without issue, except it shows "No Service" after it searches for about 3/4 minutes :confused:

    Any ideas guys?

    check your baseband.

    if its gone to 4.1, irrespective of how it was upgraded and subsequently downgraded, i believe the baseband has been updated. there are no unlocks currently for the 5.14.01 (i think thats the baseband).

    will need to wait for 4.2 unfortunately.

    Baseband is 05.14.02

    Edit;

    Just Googled, not good... lol ... He'll just have to wait...

    huh?

    no. if you have a 4 and your modem is 2.14 (i think thats the one), there is no unlock yet.

    if you had updated the iphone 4 using tinyumbrella, it would have preserved the baseband.

    once baseband is updated, irrespective if its a 3gs or ip4 (3g might be different thanks to redsn0w), you have basically lost ultrasn0w support.

    sorry
