    Like the title says. :(
Went to drive home tonight and some drunken pondlife have kicked the mirrors off my Mondeo so they're hanging by the wires.
Need new casings and fitted. Can anyone recommend someone who could do this on a Saturday in Dublin?

I had a Ford Sierra and used to go to the Ford dealers on North Circular Road. Nice lads and cheap prices back then, ask for a quote. If you need parts and do it yourself at home I would try breakers yards - there should be plenty of Mondeos around.

That's not too far from me. Thanks for the prompt response. I appreciate it.
I'm in a bit of a rush tomorrow and probably won't have the time to fit them properly myself. I take it the Ford lads would do it for a few quid more?

Yeah not too much as you think though, Ford parts are the cheapest I have had to buy. They might fit you in, but they have the contract for fixing Garda cars and can be busy sometimes. You might get lucky.

If you chat with them they might move you up the list - I found that once you are a familiar face they break a few rules.

Oh yeah I forgot to say if they are electric mirrors, you should ask them to try save as much as possible of the motors and stuff as they are probably ok and you just need new plastic and glass.

Literally just the casing. The mirrors themselves seem to have survived intact.
    This time.

I could recommend a guy named Hassan in Grosnevor Lane, Rathmines, he is very reasonable... This happened to my car last year, BMW wanted E300 ex vat for the mirror alone! then I would have had to get it sprayed and fitted. I ended up getting a used mirror, then got it sprayed and fitted.

Disappointingly, the lads in Ashley Ford weren't very helpful at all.
Said the parts guys had gone home even though I got there well before 1pm, and suggested I tape up the mirrors with duct tape and drive up North to get them fixed!
Tremendously disappointing service from an official Ford dealer.
If anyone knows of anyone who would be able to fix these mirrors this weekend, I'd be grateful to hear about them.

If you can hang on (excuse the pun) until Monday, I'd recommend calling out to Somora and buying the parts there (Not sure if they open on a saturday). Unfortunately you will need to buy the whole unit - it can only be bought as one piece.

They're easy enough to fit yourself.
