Looking for high up speeds

    Howdy

I'm gona actually repost here from games forum.

I'm looking for broadband available in clondalkin (south dublin county council), that has high up speeds for resonable money.

Download speed doesn't make me a tiny difference as long as it's over 5mb/s, but upload should be preety high (8mb/s would be lovely :* ), for some resonable ammount of money (450euro from magnet for 2mb... c'mon!).

    UPC is not an option.

If it is business type of connection then it would be cool as long as they don't require being on VAT (as i'm not on it yet).

    Any propositions?

You are not going to find any package with large upload speeds for reasonable money. For larger than 2Mb Upload you are looking at dedicated lines or wireless.

Irishbroadband will do a 6Mb/6Mb package for around 270 +vat a month. Digiweb will do a 12/3 package for around 165 a month.

if you want 8Mb then it will have to be a leased line. A 34Mb Leased line will cost around €45,000 per year, so I'd take a guess that a 8Mb line will cost €10,000 a year!

HostIreland are offering 12.5mb down & up for €99 + VAT per month.

Don't know how reliable it is.
