Posterior Shin Splints

About 6 weeks ago I started getting pains in the insides of my shins so I stopped running, recently I'v been doing light Jogging/Indoor soccer trying to ease back into running but I'm still getting some pains, if I make a sharp turn I get a sharp pain about 2 inches above my ankels.

Before I stopped running I did 3 runs a week (4,4,5 miles) at a 6 minute a mile pace. Does anyone think this is a long time for shin splints to clear up? Could it be more than just shin splints, would it be worth seeing someone about it?

Hi OP this would be classed as seeking medical advice which if forbidden by the forum charted.

I would suggest consulting a GP or Physio
