Really good movie and would recommend you see it. Aldomovar won an oscar for the screenplay and got a nod for best director. I don't think Spain nominated him for foreign language oscar. Big fan of Aldomovar, my favourite movie of his would be All about my mother.

Caprica, Thanks for that. Lk forward to watching the film when I can unearth it. Heard the title soundtrack recently on Lyric and that was what attracted me. All the best. :)

I liked it, but I didn't love it the way some people do. I've watched about five of his films, and his recent ones all blend into each other. 'All About My Mother' in particular is my favourite - if you like 'Talk to her' you'll like this one.

They are strange films though - a weird mix of high-brow ideas and day-time soap-opera.

Be warned - they also deal a lot with gay themes fairly openly and explicitly - make sure your viewing partners are as open minded as you are. I learned this the hard way!

Talk to Her is an excellent film. A great introduction to Almodovar. Bit of a creepy film though.

It's quite an unusual film alright, but certainly worth a look.

It will make you cringe the majority of the way through though, some weird subject matter.

I enjoyed it personally though and would recommend it.

:P Duckworth, Hank Jones and Lost Horizon: thanks for all taking time to review the film for me. All I have to do now is lay my hands on it. One of you mentioned that it's a bit of a creepy movie. I always think of Blue Velvet in that vein. The music from Talk to Her is very moving though. Enjoy the weekend.

It's excellent. Very strange, I watched it with my mam and she nearly freaked out!
I think it's one of his more accessible films.
