Importing furniture & lights from China

Wondering if anyone has direct experience in importing furniture & lights ( not light fittings) directly from China in small quantities. From a number of websites I've seen they have great designs & low low prices - which raises the query as to what the quality would be like. This would not be for resale , but to kit out a new house

Am aware that customs etc are likely to add another 30% to the price but would still work out less than half the cost. Any advice appreciated

You need to be very very careful buying furniture from China. Make sure you reasearch the company you are looking to buy from as they might not be a legitimate company. Ask as many questions as possible for example is the 3 Piece Suite made from Wood or Metal, is the wood Oak or Chipboard, is the metal Stainelss steel. You need to cover absolutely every angle possible.
All payments are up front and final. If there is a problem with it when it arrives you could be in trouble.

Did you just come across a website by browsing or did you find them on a site like Alibaba?
