I am totally confused about all the varoius payments etc that we get. I am delighted when they come but find them all a bit confusing. I am not in Reps and I seem to be getting the following .....
Area aid....this seems to be the maps business and I also get SFP which I assume is single farm payment or do some call it the brown envelope. What about these entitlements ???
I am all mixed up and would liike someone to de-code it for me please ??
I am a very small dairy farmer and all told I seem to be getting less than €5000 and think I might not be claiming everything.
All of my neighbours seem to be getting way more payments than me and I cant understand it !!
    Thanks.:(

You apply in may for all payments in the Single Farm Payment application. If you are in a disadvantaged area(70% of the country) you will get this automatically up to 25ha max i think at the rate that applies for you between about E82 a ha for less favoured areas to about E100 a ha for severely disadvantaged areas. The SFP depends on the number of hectares of land you farm on and their value in entitlements. If the farm was in beef and stocked correctly then an entitlement could be over E300 or E400 each or more. On less intensively stocked farms it could be less than E100. You can claim one entitlement for each hectare you farm. I hope that goes some way to explain. The dept site will have exact details on rates for the DAs. Reps and aeos schemes are open to be claimed at the same time as the SFP but reps is closed and no guarantees for aeos for next year yet. About 1000 pages needed to cover the details in any great detail but that is the basics
