    premiership is back , thank god!!

    tough two games ahead of us away from home to fulham and milan

    will he rest a few on sat so they wont pick up injuries for the milan game or will be prioritise sat and accept we will prob lose on wed night??

    its a tough one in fairness and please dont say you have to put out your best team for EVERY game, it dosent work like that

    surely gallas / kaboul or king should be back for this one

    gomes

    hutton ---king --- kaboul --- ekotto

    lennon -- hudd --- modric --- bale

    vdv

    crouch

    You have to play 75% of your best team in every game if you want to be competitive. as VDV is suspended for Milan away he'll start and I assume King will be rested at Fulham to save him for Milan.

    This is the team I'd play but as yiddo59 said I'd swap King with Gallas as we need King for the Milan game. I can't remember the last time we won there (outside of the 4 - 0 FA Cup match a few years back) so I don't expect it to be easy. I also have no idea what Fulham are like under Hughes.

    I think they have drawn most of there games this year

    They are underrated won one drawn all the rest.

    they dont seem as strong this year as they were last year. if we nicked a win, it would be great

    A win would be excellent with a number of tough games coming up.

    I think we have got to have Niko Kranjcar into the starting lineup maybe as an alternative striker with VDV, especially after scoring three goals in the two international games.. He's in better form than Pav, Crouch & Robbie at present

    I'd go with; Gomes, Hutton, Bassong, Gallas, BAE, Sandro/Pal, Jenas, Hudd, Modric, Kranjcar and VDV. A clean sheet is a must, and a win would be a great boost after some poor performances against West Ham and Wigan

    vdv and niko up front :-) hardly

    niko should be given a run on the right though , as lennon is out of form. that may well happen anyway cos lennon pulled out of england squad with injury. lets hope he dosent play vdv over there and 2 strikers

    2-1 win :)

    Lennon ruled out so I'm guessing kranjcar will come in with Gio making a 20 minute cameo

    Kaboul and gallas doubtful would love to have Kaboul back.

    Gio has been given permission to speak to other clubs in January. Prob won't see him playing for spurs any more

    Sandro makes his first start in the Premier League and in effect comes in for Peter Crouch, who is on the bench as Harry switches from 4-4-2 against Villa to 4-4-1-1 today.
    STARTING XI -
    Gomes;
    Hutton, King, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto;
    Modric, Huddlestone, Sandro, Bale;
    Van der Vaart;
    Pavlyuchenko.

    SUBS - Cudicini, Bassong, Jenas, Lennon, Kranjcar, Crouch, Keane.

    Yeah, King starting is the right call IMO. He can play this weekend and next weekend rather than playing against Inter and missing both league games.

    I'm hoping he's more used to the pace of the game now took him twenty minutes or so to get used to it in the cup game he played

    Schwarzer,
    Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Salcido,
    Davies, Greening, Murphy, Dempsey,
    Dembele, Kamara.

    Subs: Stockdale, Kelly, Pantsil, Gera, Riise, Eddie Johnson, Halliche.

    Fulham side today dominating Murphy and Dempsey are probably the biggest things we'll have to do to try contain fulham

    Bloody great win! Didn't have the best of first halfs but I thought Lennon's introduction at half-time changed the game. Gave us that bit more. Bring on the Nerazzuri!!

    Great result today; Craven Cottage is not a place where we often get a win so this was a nice victory. After a very lacklustre start to the league season we are now nicely placed in 5th and level with United and Arsenal.

    Off topic but Steven Caulker scored for Bristol City in a 3-2 defeat at Cardiff today.

    Great win ! another 3 points in the bag keeping us up among the contenders.couple of good saves from Gomes today he's getting back into form again, I would give Benny Ekkoto my MOTM thought he played very well for most of it.

    Shame about King,I was surprised Harry even played him today with the Milan game coming up midweek.

    Smashing result today. Van der Vaart, what a talent. The guy is our Messi/Alonso. Brilliant range of passes. Complete an utter steal at 8m!
    You'd only get an Elmander striker for that money these days!
    It will be hard to play VDV and Modric together though.
    Hope Sandro settles in ok. He's that fire in the belly we need in midfield. That said the Huddmeister ain't a bad player either!
    Great to see Lennon firing on all cylinders. Pav will also be important to us this season. He knows where the goal is and scores important goals.
    Harry has some wealth of talent at his disposal. I hope he gets that bit of luck as well and who knows what could happen this season :)
    These are great days to be a Spurs fan and I for one am enjoying it.
    Bring on these Inter Chumps and lets give them a night at the Lane they won't forget in a hurry!

    Pav is the inform striker at the moment alright to be honest he's a bit of a poacher we should really tell him stay in the box the whole time might score a few more between being there for Bales crosses and tapping in rebounds from Thudd's and VDV's long range shots

    It's so dissapointing when I think of what could of been though we should of had 6 points from West Ham and Wigan and we got nothing I hope we don't come to regret that as we come up to a period of really hard matches

    Lads Van der vaart is a class act, quality chip setting up pals goal.

    Could have had 2 goals today but for the crossbar/Schwarzer.
