Hi, I went for a long drive one day and got tons of fly splashes on the front of my car. This was a few months ago but everytime i go wash the car it never seems to come off. Tried the electric washes in petrol stations and washing manually. What is the best way to get them off???

    Order this stuff! Bug Squash

It dilutes 3:1 - 3 parts water : 1 part product; so it lasts a good while. Spray it on and leave dwell for about 2 minutes and then wash off! As you've left it quite a while to take care of these bugs - you might need a stronger solution to get them off! ;)

    Try one of these:

    muc-off

    autoglym

You might be able to buy them here.

Wurth make a very good active glass cleaner that makes removing bugs very easy indeed. It comes in an aerosol can and you spray it on, leave it for a few seconds and wipe off. While it's on the glass, you can see and hear it fizzing. I actually breaks down any dirt or bugs hence making it easy to just wipe off.

Get some APC and dilute it,
Spray it on over the flies and leave it soak for a couple of minutes
A couple of repeats of this will/should shift them
You may need to rub a bit of polish on afterwards

I was washing my car almost once a week all summer to try and avoid this problem. I use an abrasive sponge to clean them off the entire front of the car before I start washing. Obviously not abrasive enough to scratch the paint....

The way I have always done it is to use bug and tar remover and then claybar the car, always comes up a treat :D
