work placement question

Firstly, this is a real mess. I am a recent graduate, with no job. I recently applied for the JA a couple of weeks back. I also registered with fas and found out about participating in the work placement scheme. But to do it I have to be in receipt of claims for three months. Following reading a post here, the post suggested applying for a placement and it would be 12 weeks by the time Id have a suitable placement. However, I applied for two last week and was offered the second one straight off. Id didnt expect it to be so quick. But I have no income and the only form of money I would get to do it is the dole. So to receive help financially Id have to quit the placement before I even started and wait three months to take it up to work, or can anyone shed any light on the three months problem? i really want to get out and do something but i need to live as well and I am really worried. any advice on what would be the best thing to do or information from a website would be good.hope this makes sense

It's frustrating for sure but seeing as three months on SW is clearly stated for eligibility they're not likely to put you ahead of any others who will be eligible sooner. However, just in case the position is one for which many are not qualified/applying etc., you should talk to Fas.
