Susan Boyle Donegal Connections

Hi,

Does anyone have any details on Susan Boyle's family tree? There is a feeling she maybe connected, through marrage, to my own family.

I know her father was Patrick Boyle and mother Bridget (maiden name unkown).

The theoretical connection stems from Bridget...Bridget's aunt (her mother's sister) (Ellen?) possibly married into our family around 1902 / 1903.

Therefore, does anyone have any information on Bridgets family steming back to around 1900?

Any info appriciated. Thanks.

You'd be better off trying to contact her directly. Most genealogy boards won't discuss living people but we don't have that problem.

The family seem to be from the Burtonport area, Boyle is a very popular name. Like looking for a needle in a bunch of needles.

That's cause I didn't think it would be an issue!

I've mainly seen it be a problem with people who are searching for living relatives or adoption issues, and it's often a problem because they put too much personal detail into their requests.

Hi there, from what I know Susan's mum Bridie was McLaughlin from Inishowen. Susan has visited here a lot over the years. McLaughlin is a common name here, I know it may not be of much help but it may narrow it down a bit for you.

I'd really prefer if people didn't probe this one as I already have enough embarrassing relatives and I'm worried that burtonport boyles are too close!
