Just pondering here what do the average joe prefer:

Walking into a old shop, greeted by friendly staff which are helpfull and polite.

    Or

Walking into a newer shop, being treated rudely with staff who dont have any care or want to converse with customers and are not very helpfull.

Say you were going into buy a paper and roll, the price was the same in both shops.

The question is both obvious and ridiculous.

Of course it'd be the friendly shop. Any context to this question?

Depends how often I was expected to visit the shop. If it's on a daily basis then friendly is good. If it's very occasionally then I haven't got a problem with staff who keep their distance.

Walking into a shop and not being 'greeted'. Being left alone but having staff who are helpful and friendly should you try to get their attention.
