Has anyone here used tv out on 4.1?

I've heard that with a few apps off Cydia and component cables from the pound shop you can get tv out. Anyone tried it? It would be pretty handy for watching movies and I was thinking maybe getting a cheap blutooth keyboard could you use the keyboard app and the tv out app at the same time I wonder?
