I spent the summer in Maine and got a taste for a local beer there by the name of Allagash White.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a beer shop that specialized in American beers, since it's reasonably popular over there from what I can tell. Alternatively, the beer is described as..
An interpretation of the Belgian Witbier style. Spiced with Curaçao orange peel and coriander.
so if anyone had a particular Belgian beer that fits a similar description to recommend, I'd appreciate that too.

Don't know much about beer at all, but Allagash White with a slice of lemon is perfect for cooling off!

You should be able to find Blue Moon (American wit beer) pretty easily which I imagine is pretty similar or get some Hoegaarden which is the Belgian beer that the others are based on.

You won't find Allagash beers here, unfortunately. Which is a shame: I've liked anything of theirs I've tried.

Since you're in Europe now, I wouldn't advise looking to the US for Belgian-style beers. As the beer revolu says, Hoegaarden is the benchmark of the style -- it's available in supermarkets and most half-decent offies, and is on special in Lidl at the moment. St Bernardus Wit is a notch or two up, IMO, but you'll need to go to a beer specialist for that.

Several, though without knowing where you live it's hard to make a useful recommendation. Good off licences are the green pins on this map, and DrinkStore in Dublin deliver nationwide.

Bumping just in case the situation's changed! Tried Blue Moon, it's pretty gross.
