Blatantly stolen from the general college forum but this will take off let me tell you. I'm, well, just in the library now but that can count I guess...

Never got the point of going on the internet during a lecture. Nobody forces you to go to a lecture so if you go why bother not paying attention

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Conor108

I usually go in like the 10-15 mins before it actually gets started :)

REMEMBER everyone its International Suit Up Day on Wednesday!

Was going to post in the same vein as HavingCrack. You'll see people on laptops and they'll come in, load up the notes for the lecture and spend the rest of the time on the internet. I mean, you could have done that at home, genius.

Oh well. What's international suit up day? 'Sounds bent, can you confirm?

International Suit Up Day is in honour of the great Barney Stinson from TV show How I Met Your Mother. Any dissing Barney and you have a legen...wait for it...dary lack of humour.

So basically there's gonna be roughly 3 people on campus wearing suits on Wednesday, and two of them will probably be lecturers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,289 ✭✭✭parker kent

On a mild aside, you should actually wear a suit around campus some day. I have graduated and worked in UCD and you really stand out. Way more girls smiled at me than usual. The power of a well dressed man! It is something everybody should do once in their time in UCD. Or get a job there like I did and do it every day....

Well I'll be suiting up for the day that's in it. Something wrong with that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,893 ✭✭✭Davidius

Suiting up in a jumpsuit. Like those used in skydiving?

I'd prefer a space suit myself.

I'm in that class!! The class is boring, but I'm going to go ahead and say it - C++ is a lot of fun! It's one of the easier to understand classes that I do!

I know, it's a bit ridiculous at times! Any lecturers with laptops/slides should be there early to get it set up - it always takes ages to get the laptop plugged in and the projector turned on.

Strangely enough my lecturers that don't use slides/laptops/projectors (just plain old blackboard) are always on time, usually early. Strange.
