Custom Hardtail MTB for sale

Assembled by me earlier this year. Everything was purchased new except the frame which was purchased from a member here. The frame was as new, still with stickers, I just didn't purchase it from a dealer like everything else on this build.

    It's a 16.5 inch frame so would suit someone about 5'4" to 5'9. I'm 5'6"

Frame: Azonic AZ-7 16.5 Inch. Full details here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=48320

Fork: Rockshox SID Race 100mm travel with remote lock-out.
Wheels: Mavic Crosstrails. Tyres are Maxxis Advantage 2.1 (eXception series)
Brakes, Shifters, Discs, front and rear Derailleurs, Chain, Chainset, Cassette are all Shimano Deore XT. Can't recommend them highly enough ;) Discs are centre lock, 180mF, 160mmR

Bars, Stem, Headset, Seat and Seatpost are all Ritchey WCS. Grips are the Ritchey ergonomic foam.

The bike is in very good condition. The only mark on it is on the seatpost. I had the seatclamp too loose and my fat ass pushed the seatpost down scraping some paint off. I reckon I have done about 500KM on it since I built it earlier this year. It's beautiful to ride, very light @10.8KG but another project forces sale.
I spent over €2,000 on this, Yours for €1,555
I will consider selling without the wheels if this would suit someone.

    BUMP

I bought a Trek 4500 from Super Freak earlier this year - the bike was kept immaculate and he was a pleasure to deal with.

    HI Superfreak,

I'm the same height as yourself and in the market for a nice hardtail. I'd be willing to offer €1200, the only condition is if you could keep the bike until around Christmas.

If I get an xmas bonus this year (95% guaranteed unless global sales at the company I work for take a massive slide) I'll take it off you.

I'm sure you probably want a faster sale but if you still don't have it sold by then it could be an option for you.

Please let me know what you think,

    Thanks,
    Chakattack

    Hi Chakattack,

I'd have no problem keeping the bike until December. Two conditions though....

You come and view the bike and make sure it is what you are looking for, take it for a spin, make sure it fits, you like the handling etc. and if you want to purchase, I would like a €200 non refundable deposit, we can arrange a date in the future for collection. If you don't collect;the €200 is mine to keep.

    How does that sound?

I may be prepared to travel for you to view the bike (I have company supplied wheels).

A little too low captain. I would let it go for maybe a little less than €1200.

I'd be happy to bring the Captain down with me.......

    However......

I'm not going to make this as I am going to be out of the country on a work trip.

Sorry for not getting back sooner,

If the captain doesn't take it I'm still interested. I'm happy to give you €100 as deposit to seal the deal at €1200. You mentioned that you would be in Dublin at some stage to view it? I can probably drive to Laois to view it the weekend after next.

I don't want to invest €200 on the off chance my bonus doesn't come through and then I'll be poor, moutainbikeless and down €200 :(

    Bike is now sold.

Captain Havoc is a gentleman to deal with and I'm looking forward to showing him a few of my local trails;)
