There's little difference between any of them. The adds for it (and the dental whores on them) like to give the impression that it 'regrows' lost enamel.total spoof.
Each paste company comes up with 'studies' to back up their claims!
I'd advise you to get one with some fluoride (1400ppm), its written on back. Personally i use colgate total, cos it tastes ok and i got loads of it for free too!!

Fiacla...its irish and has flouride. The proenamel tastes pretty good and has flouride. BTW there is supposed to be a see through edge to teeth, its not a sign of anything except having good teeth. If they chip and crack at the edge that a different matter.

I don't know much about this - but I have found a very good toothpaste lately by oralb.

A friend of mine uses it. She swears by it, as her enamel has eroded from years of vomiting(not on purpose) She's positive it helps. To be honest I don't buy it. You can't grow back enamel, strengthen maybe but you won't grow any more.

I was paranoid about that for ages after seeing all of those Pronamal ads, glad to see my teeth aren't about to fall out just yet!

Any toothpaste with Fluoride in it, I'm using that oral B pro expert at the moment, feels good...

You'd be surprised the number of patients who ask that question when their mouth is full of last weeks dinner!!!! It doesn't matter, just use any toothpaste ....!!!
Like this guy asking what car wax he should use

Clean teeth and gums is the aim the most important factor by a mile is mechanical removal of plaque. So the action of carefully brushing and flossing (interdental sticks, interdental brushes etc) is what does 90% of the work. So using a brush and floss and no tooth paste will get you 90% of the way there.

Toothpaste tastes nice, lubricates and has some active ingredients like fluoride and others these give added benefit, but have no effect on undisturbed plaque, so a 5 second brush with the best toothpaste in the world will do next to nothing.

Mouthwash is unnecessary but it is nice.

Like Oral Surgeon I am using the oralB pro expert for three reasons:

    1. It tastes nice much like the polishing paste I use to clean patients teeth.
    2. I get it for free (its half price most places also)
    3. Its got fluoride.

Any toothpaste is fine. Avoid very abrasive pastes like smokers toothpastes and some whitening pastes. Also some dont have fluroide which keeps the "everyone is trying to poison me" brigade happy but its not doing that little bit extra for the teeth.

So again, the brush does 50%, the floss does 40% the toothpaste does 8% and the mouthwash does 2% (these are fitzgeme figures).

Its as important to brush your gums as your teeth. See these videos.
