    Im obsessed with one of my lecturers. he is fairly young and good looking but hes an asshole who everyone else hates but i actually really like him

    please help i need to stop this or itll all end real bad


    how do you get unobsessed with someone

    Hi OP,

    Are you bored? I find boredom can often bring on these kind of feelings for inappropiate people. It will wear off, just keep yourself busy and have fun- don't detroy your selfesteem by going with someone who is wholly inappropiate- you will regret it and loose respect for yourself.

    I am a lecturer. I am about 10-12 years older than the students I teach.

    What makes you think that it will end "real bad"? Just because you like the guy doesn't mean anything will happen. I know that affairs do sometimes happen between lecturers and students, but really, most of us have enough cop on to know that our careers could be badly damaged.

    Go to class, enjoy the lectures and leave it at that. You don't have to act on your infatuation, and even if you did, the most likely result is that he will rebuff you and you'll be embarrassed.

    The infatuation will pass. They always do.
