I miss the sunday afternoon drive

I sold my car a few months ago as i was going back to college and i couldn't keep the expense of the car and college also. Too much.

But i miss my car. I miss my independence and freedom. I miss the sunday afternoon drives when i was bored. Im not looking forward to tomorrow.

How do i get over missing my car? Im still heartbroken. Its been 4 months.

Then sell your boat, and get a car with the proceeds.

You don't need a car if you're in a boat.

Drove out to Howth last week hoping to have a game a pool in a pub I used to love.

Only the pub has since been demolished so I just bought fish n chips instead :)

More women should follow your lead. It will have two big benefits.

    1. Injection of cash in to the local areas.

    2. Safer roads.

Sunday afternoon bicycle ride is much nicer/healthier

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,274 ✭✭✭_feedback_

I don't get the whole Sunday drive thing anyway. I spend way too much time in the car during the week, it's the last place I want to spend my Sunday!

On topic. I'm driving from Dublin to Wexford tomorrow and back again.
    Who wants to come?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,867 ✭✭✭Tonyandthewhale

Get a bike instead, or if you don't like pedaling, get a camel and train it to ride the bike for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 895 ✭✭✭zapata

OP - Why don't you just rent a car for the day? Or there is some car share scheme in Dublin and Cork. www.gocar.ie
    :)

OP I have a question. Do you ever stop complaining about your alleged misfortunes? Fair enough if your friends have to listen to you, but it's a bit much on a public forum. This is your third 'poor me' thread in a month.

    May I suggest a blog?

Edit: Apologies, it's your 8th 'poor me' thread in a month.

Hey ease up Confab, everyone needs someplace to let off steam. Personally I do it in the car,I moan at the radio and passing motorists, but the OP doesn't have that option now do they.
