Big question...will we have a new world number 1?! If Lee Westwood finishes 2nd or better he'll overtake Tiger. He's having a good day, -5 now and in the top 5.

Harrington & MacDowell inside top 10 too at the minute. Paddy will have good memories of Carnoustie.

Nice to see some of the amateurs hacking around too, making me feel a lot better about my own game :pac::o

I hope he does get it.

could be the first person to be world number 1 and never play a comp as it cos i see him taking a long break after this week

Watched a bit of this live this morning (sat). Great viewing

Great to see the "amateurs" doing well especially tim henman - scratch golfer. Jack of all trades!!!

Better than he is at tennis anyhow! As frankie boyle says, when you'watching him play you think you could actually beat him yourself.

It was mentioned on Sky that if Westwood actually missed this tournament and the next one, he would've become world no.1 anyway...yet by playing and finishing 3rd or worse, he'll stay at no.2.

My brain has melted trying to figure that one out  I assume its to do with average performances or something, but still

Dunno? Hugh Grant was pretty handy at the long putts, perhaps he handed out a few tips
