The paint is water based, the minute I wash it paint comes off too? Other than painting the walls is there any way of removing the greasy looking marks?:(

The stain will be oil from the hands when the blu-tack was softened for use. Try rolling up a piece of white bread, that usually works for this kind of stain on lampshades etc. If it doesn't you could try lighter fluid or sugar soap, although if the paint is washing off so easily they'll most likely wash it off too. I always keep some leftover paint for touch-ups, or you could get a tester pot.

Thats interesting!! Thanks for the info, and indeed the paint comes off too easy, so I think I will need to paint the whole wall!! No worries - all part of moving I guess:D
