Burning/Exposing 2 different bootrom exploits at the same time in 2 seperate releases would be insane .

Bootrom exploits are like finding gold.
To give Apple 2 exploits to patch in the next hardware release would really give the Cat back the momentum over the mouse.

in fairness to geohot, he did start the whole thing off.

He was the first to find the bootrom exploit in 1.0.1 which lead to installer and the first userland JB's

the kid knows his stuff, but he needs to chillaxe on the old ego a bit.

The dev team and chronic team have been working hard on this JB and Geohot steps in at the last minute with his own.. Not good buzz.. There's a lot off ppl annoyed at himon Twitter. Either way, looking forward to having my phone back tomo!

geohots jb totally untested, but i'm gonna guinea pig, let ye know how it goes

doesnt work with ipt 2g or ip 3g, stay away if you rely on an unlock
and reports it doesnt work on new bootrom 3gs !

Png was about 1.5 mb in size, jpeg is about half a mb, so the page would load faster :-p

Eta +1 for Georgie, when you re-spring you dont have the distorted white lines at the top of the screen, was a tad annoying on the last jb

I'm currently jailbroke with jailbreakme but want to upgrade to 4.1 today (I thought geohots was out Monday though ? ).

I've done alot of jailbreaks before but never upgraded then jailbroke again.

Geohot is some tool tbh.....

He knew shatter was coming out today so just cause he 'has an exploit' he wants to release his. After all the effort devteam went through and geohot wastes there efforts. I know that greenpoision won't be released today so the shatter exploit is saved nut geohot didn't make any friends in doing it.

He annoys me.....

Lmao man, try aptbackup from cydia, didn't work for me, pain in the hole reinstalling everything to the way you like it, but sure it's a small price to pay !

I don't think it was anything major for iphone4 users but for 3g/3gs it speeded up IOS..
