Irish rail fares......

Wasn't sure where else to post this so moderators please feel free to move, but has anyone seen those ads in the local papers (advertiser,independent) about free fares on Irish rail, Dublin to Galway (or the reverse).

Cant find anything about it anywhere and don't really understand the ad?

Anyone any info? I know they're probably just creating hype but wouldn't mind making the most of the offer if it's true!

The original ad I spotted on page 21 of last weeks advertiser which is also on bus shelters

No it is true, if you book early enough on certain trains they are doing tickets for free, you just pay the credit card charges. It's a bit like how Ryanair do business.

We got the flyer in the door and I tried a few different dates to see if I could 'find' any. I tried for that day, a week away and I think a month away..nothing, nada, zip.

It is a great marketing tool for them, and they'd only have to toss in a few free ones for legality. Gobus will continue to getost of my business!
