apologies for setting up a separate thread for this but i do feel it is a separate issue. boards is a great site. thanks whoever set it up!
anyway 2 points i want to make..
first off, id love to get an idea of how many women would opt or see themselves opting for botox/surgery as they age to make themselves appear younger? i personally would age gracefully, what about the other ladies out there?
id like to add, the study of creams.. vichy/roc etc is of huge interest to me.. id love to find out how different creams differ in what they do for skin etc and would be interested in a short term job in this field,.. can any1 tell me where i could find such a job where i could learn about the different creams and get the best advice
    cheers

Wouldn't get botox myself - I think it's naff. That's not to say I'd condemn all cosmetic procedures, e.g. I'd consider a breast lift if they went too far south.

I use Roc and find it amazing. Cheap and cheerful Astral cream is fantastic too, if a bit oily.

After seeing the effects of Botox on some of my mates...i wouldnt go there, although i think they got it too young (in their late 20s). Possibly in my 40s or 50s but even then i dont know. One friend has a ridiculously frozen forehead and makes her look very strange.

    +1 for Astral too

I'm 22 and had an appointment to have botox in my forehead during the summer (at 21). I have deep frownlines and they make me extremely paranoid. However, during the consultation, the dr refused to inject botox.

I know maybe in a couple years I'll thank her, but at the moment, I just wish they weren't there.

I would definately consider cosmetic procedures as I age.

As for creams that say they have collagen and elastin in them? I say gimmick.

    I recommend a fringe! :)

This book might be of interest. It looks at beauty products from a scientific point of view: http://www.paulaschoice.com/product/beauty-bible-3/books

I was going to suggest doing an evening beauty course rather or get you hands on the recommended reading list for such a course.
