Windscreen Cover

    Hi all,

I have fully comprehensive with 6 years No Claims Bonus with Zurich. The front windscreen cracked a couple of months ago (just noticed it one morning) so I had it replaced FOC under Zurich's windscreen cover.

As bad luck would have it I was on the M50 today and a stone flew up and created a classic 'star' type stone mark on the windscreen which will spread if not filled and the it may be so bad that the windscreen needs replacing again.

My question is "Can I claim a free windscreen repair/replacement under the Zurich policy in the same year without affecting my no claims bonus?" I'm assuming they have a limit of one claim per 12 policy period and as the policy is due for renewal in a few weeks am I better off to renew it with them and then have it repaired/replaced?

    Cheers,

    Ben

check the t&c of your policy. i'm insured with quinn and they give me 2 claims up to a combined max of something like 500 euro.

The only one who can really answer this question is your insurance company and it varies from company to company.
