On a technical point, it's "our" Olivia in the alt-verse :)
I'm still undecided as to what name for the alt version of Olivia that I like the best - Fauxlivia, Bolivia, Altivia, perhaps Oltivia.

    "Altvia"

Really good episode. Fringe just keeps gaining strengths I think. Could this be where the Observers come from?

It was ok, central story was kinda average, not much arc progression though we did find out why Olivia was implanted with Altlivia's memories. Seems the memories have not taken full hold, she'll probably fully remember by ep. 6 and go back and kick the other wans butt, by that time Peter will have slept with the other Olivia and original Olivia will be pissed and she'll brood all season....eh, getting ahead of myself.

Man I love this show and that episode was awesome.

Trying to explain this show to someone not watching it would be fun. So you have two universes which they flip between week to week, two versions of each character one of which is being made believe she is the other version of herself. Oh that guy has been given brain drugs so he can predict the outcome of seemingly random events. That's Peter from the other universe he is not actually really in this universe and I think is a projection of Olivia subconscious. Now that I think about that saying Peter is from the other universe isn't actually true but that's a whole other story :pac:

God I hope enough people are sticking with this show as if it gets cancelled I will cry!

I am really enjoying the format of this season, going from universe to universe. The villian guy this week was really freaky, good acting job there.

I like how Olivia is remembering small things and I love how it saved her life because she didn't know that she needed to take the oxygen. That was really well done.

I think it works but I don't think it can work for the entire season. I hope they don't drag it out too long.

Yeh whats the deal with them needing to carry those little oxygen canisters in the alternate universe has that ever been explained have I missed something ?

All in all a great episode .

It's obviously one of the many anomalies that affects that world ever since Walter crossed over to steal Peter.

I don't think it has been explained previous to this. They seem to have some problem with air quality which is constantly being checked to make sure it is safe. As tvnutz says I would say due to the degradation of the world from Waters actions. Does this mean everyone in the alt-universe carries around a personal oxygen tank ?

Does anybody know why the Amber was used in quarantining places?

the amber is used to quarantine zones that are unstable and have potential breachs from crossing between universes,

excellent episode, looks like olivia is slowly breaking out, when she saw peter across the road she instantly tensed up, and when he dissapeared again she relaxed, and the way she walks is kinda funny, very heavy on her feet with long strides,

what exactly is walternates plan is she does jump back, its not like he can follow her, and when she runs into "herself" it will be very interesting,

personally i think the other world is falling apart not because of walter, it because walternate trying to come to this side, and with each attempt he makes he makes his own world more unstable,

also does anyone think astrid is blind in the alternate universe, i noticed she doesnt make direct eye contact with anyone, is it shes just an odd person or what,

Was thinking that as well, seemed more obvious in this episode. Does she not use a touch screen though?

could easily be a differnt type of interface, blind poeple can use computers here, and the alt universe is more advanced than us, sure they stopped using pens decades ago:D

Yeah I'd say so, could easily be explained with their advanced tech, like a tactile interface in conjunction with those tiny ear buds... hmmmm. Wonder if it's important or just another 'weird' difference.

Perhaps, but another explanation could be she's one of those very-smart-but-severely-lacking-in-social-skills kind of people.

Pity about the 4 week hiatus after next week's episode... that's ridiculous!

Have to admit, the start of this episode was very very cool.

was very impressive actually. was expecting an accident alright but didn't think it would show from the angle it did.

If Astrid is indeed blind and each week it looks more likely, then I would guess it is her that learns that Olivia is not the real Olivia - if you know what i mean. Being blind allows her to recognise people without the use of imagery.

Really enjoyed this episode. This series seems to getting better every week. Good to see that OUR Olivia is still holding on inside her warped mind. That scene with her imagining Peter at the end was pretty cool.
Also, am i missing something about the Oxegen levels in the Alt. Universe or has it not bee nexplained yet?
