saorview/freeview in one epg

I have an LG TV and receive Irish DTT and Freeview from Wales. TV is set to Ireland and the epg has the Irish channels as 1 to 6 with BBC1 etc. starting at 7 which is all very nice apart from one issue. The epg will only populate if I switch to a channel on that particular mux, so if I power on the TV and it comes on on RTE the epg will contain only Irish channel data and will not populate the UK channel data until I switch to a channel on one of the Freeview muxes. If I power on the TV and it is on a UK channel, the epg will be populated for both UK muxes (Arfon 41 & 44) but will have no data for the Irish channels. No big deal but a slight inconvenience. just wondering if anyone has seen this, is it normal or specific to my LG TV? Thanks.

My older MPEG2 LG is set to UK and I get full 7 day EPG for FreeView and RTÉ even though I cant watch them. The digital text also works for RTÉ.
