I heard a promo for RTEjr radio saying it was available on Digital Radio, Television, and on-line.

Is this the start of RTE promoting DTT?

There was I thinking RTE had discovered that DTT was about to launch quietly.

I don't think so. Have they finally admitted that DTT exists?

No. Analogue RTÉ 2, there is no DTT service yet.

I know the kids' programmes on RTE2 have been renamed RTEjr. I think the OP took it that RTE had announced they were carrying the radio channel on TV (which would be DTT, obviously)

I think Sam Russell can speak for himself.

I was just making clear the meaning I took from his post.

I can answer for myself. They actally said that RTEjr Radio programmes are available on 'Digital Radio, and television and on-line' not on 'Digital Radio, RTE2 Television, and on-line'

Not quite what they apperently meant, if the RTE website is read in conjunction with it.

So, excitement dulled yet again by yet another disapointment from RTE. Oh well, back to the future, if there is one.

    To add to the confusion

When they say "available on digital television" presumably they mean digital terrestrial television since its not available on satellite (or at least the last time I checked.....)

They said DIGITAL RADIO or DAB, (and also) TELEVSION, meaning RTE2, and ON-LINE. RTE2 is for Kids in the morning, Teens in the afternoon, and grown up kids in the evening.

No mention of DTT based television.:)
