P45 From England?

    Hi,

I am trying to decide whether I should apply for jsb or jsa- I am Irish but worked in England for the past 6 months full time. I have just moved back. My English employer has sent me a P45 should I bring this to the welfare office or do I need an Irish one?

On the citizen information website it says that

"If you have worked in another country, your social insurance record in that country may help you qualify for benefits in Ireland. You can find out about moving to Ireland and your social security entitlements"

Does this mean I could use my work credits from England to claim JSB?

    Hi
yes social welfare will need you English P45.

I dont know whether you will get JSA or JSB - it depends how much you worked in Ireland before going to the UK.

I got JSA, when I claimed as I did not have enough Irish credits and they didnt take into account my English NI payments.

They will decide which payment you qualify for.
