Lunchtime on Newstalk today had a chap on who went through some of the finer details of the Croker agreement and revealed one section which came as quite a surprise to the host Damien Kilberd it has to be said, have to say I dont recall hearing this anywhere else

So what is it then? Well..............as part of the agreement PS workers who are losing out on overtime and or shift allowances as part of the promised "efficiency" programme will be compensated to the tune of 18 months equivalent of that number.

The example they gave was someone who was currently pulling in €100 a week in overtime in the HSE but was now going to lose out as changes were implemented would be entitled to that €100 a week x 18 months as a "compensation" payment.

Seriously FFS! Unions have f**ked the govt up the a$$ again.

Assuming conservatively there are 1,000 people claiming a claim of such proportions the public coffers are again going to get fleeced for upwards of €7m....sure whats another few million at this stage?

And I thought this deal was supposed to SAVE the govt money :eek:
