RIP Life Unexpected:

The CW is reportedly planning to pick up new comedy drama pilot Danni Lowinski.

Deadline claims that the project, based on the German series of the same name, will be adapted by 90210 writer Jennifer Snyder Urman.

The original show focuses on Danni Lowinski, a former hairdresser who sets up her own legal practice in a shopping mall after being rejected by several law firms.

The German version has already been renewed for a second season, which will launch early next year.

The new adaptation is being fast-tracked and will be considered as a mid-season replacement. Director Richard Shephard is in talks to direct the pilot, while casting is currently ongoing.
