    I'd be interested too.

It depends on how many sign up for it. In the past it has been 250-280. The more that sign up the cheaper everyone gets it for. Once enough people sign up on the bmw-driver forums martin should drop in with a price

Oh ****e, didn't see that it had to be for BMW's.

It doesent say that. On the BMW site there's a Golf GTI on the list at the start

A day of remapping a shed load of cars?

Normally people who map and tune will take your car for the day and go through it with a fine comb and get every ounce out of it.

Is this just a simple remap flashed to the standard ECU?

Stock cars with no other mods will benefit most from this as long as the map is from the correct model/year. I wouldn't advise getting a flash unless its a copy of the map which someone who has the exact same car in term of induction, engine and exhaust parts has got done (and got done properly with dyno runs and fine tuning by and experience professional)

That's what I was thinking. If you've made your car your own, this remap day wont be any benefit to you?

It'd be for factory spec cars?

Think more clarification from OP is needed, if you have common mods, they may have the map for you however comes down to trust..... do you trust them when they say they have the exact map for you? because you have no way of knowing (unless it goes tits up which it prob wont but may not be the best possible for your car)

Lets face it, group discount remapping is a business strategy based on increasing quantity of business. If its my car, i'd be wanting to speak with a remapper who was focusing on quality over quantity/turnover.

    im a little tipsy!
No no, that's Mick's pockets Onkle is lining. Joe is the Vag head. There's been chaps in England and the likes shipping their cars over to Joe to tune & map them.

Everything from Glanza's up to S14 Sylvias, Supra TT's and WRX's.

I think the main purpose of this thread is to get lads that are looking for more power from diesel cars and common turbo cars to get together and get their cars mapped for better power and feul effiency, this is not a thread for people with seriously modded cars to get mapped. I once met a guy with an R34 GTR and it cost him €1000 to get a guy over (with a group) and map their GTRs. This is a very different thing

This has been done on Boards before and has worked out very well

    Update:
    9/10 signed up so far.
Price is €275 for 10 people signed up and €250 if we get 15 signed up.
Most likely will happen in November

not all the cars are done on one day. last time Martin done 4 or 5 and then spread the rest over afew weeks.

he has to read the ECU and send it to Germany for analysis before uploading it to your ECU.

its the ecact same thing as Joe from Chippedirl does. but as above, this is not for mapping GTR's or Evo's etc its for someonewith a TDi or GTi or VRs or 320d etc that want a simple remap with massaive gains!

I'm very keen on getting this done. Just need to clarify something...

Do I have to tell my insurance company about it and how much of an increase would I be looking at?

I'm not looking to let it slide and if I have a crash tell the insurance company "I didn't know that was done".

    Thanks!

Your best bet would be to ring the insurance company and ask
