    Anyone know the following:

    - What vaccinations are needed if travelling to Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina (only Buenos Aires)?
    - What timeframe in advance of travelling do you need to get them done?
    - How much circa do each vaccination cost?

I have looked up the net on this and there are various opinions so just wanted to see if any of you guys know?

    Thanks!:)

AKA TMB - Tropical Medical Bureau

they are gr8, consult is around 50 euro and will give you lots of info on areas you going to and what shots you need and they also do the shots and prices are ok same as everwhere else,

Ill say some shots you may need but i could get one wrong or miss one!

Yellow fever is a deffo for Brazil.
    malaria tablets!!
    Hep A + B id say
    rabies
cholera (now can be taken in a 2 course drink)
    typhoid

again could have for gotin one or maby one of em you dont need but im 90% sure that list is right

    Thanks for that Whitehawk.

I got a lot of the jabs back on 2002 so according to the medical document I have am still covered by Yellow Fever and Tetanus as they both last 10 years.

Will defo got Hep A & B and malaria tablets as will be in the Amazon so need to be wary of moscito bites. Any idea on best place to get malaria tablets and how much they cost?

As a matter of interest why do you advocate getting shots for rabies, cholera and typhiod?

the Tropical Medical Bureauas far as i know can give out or get you malaria tablets, but also most pharmacy should be able to get them in for you, most expensice is around 4 euro per tab that you need to take each day, there is also cheeper ones that that, one you take only each week, but im told its not that gr8, there is any other one you take each day and its around 2 euro or less, but im sry dont have names at hand, but a pharmacy should be able to give you more info.

rabies shot is aways gd to get just incase of getting bit by a dog or something, but if you do get rabies shot and if you do get bitten still go and get a booster.

typhoid you would need for Brazil it is recommended for all travellers going there

hmmm cholera, ya now that i think about it you prob dont need that one, but just check, if you deep in forst in brazil you could need it but im not sure about that one!

Buy your malaria tabs when you get there! You'll save a lot of cash. The shots are expensive enough, they cost the same as my feckin flight.
