    Hi there,
Im just screwing around with my Cisco EPC2425 and found the password for the Advanced options on this forum
    Username: admin
    Password: W2402

but all the options in this menu have "This feature is not enabled." when you click on them.

Is there any way to gain access to these features. The main one im after is QoS?

Theyre locked out in the latest versions....i have the same problem.
if ur looking to se up QoS etc, id get a wireless router seperate and bridge the Cisco.

But does putting the modem into bridge disable the phone function of the EPC2425?
If it does (I'm unsure as I need to have my phone option re-enabled) yea could just connect the Cisco to your separate router's WAN port and put your separate routers IP into the Ciscos DMZ.

Ya it does. You don't have to put it in bridge mode, just disable the wireless function and let a decent wireless router handle that.

Not normally, as the firmware provisioning is controlled by UPC.

I have a copy of the page which allows you to change the access level to unlock the tabs, though it only works for about 15 minutes at a time and then locks again. I took it from an EPC2203 but it also works on the EPC2425 by changing the username.

The QoS tab has nothing you can change, here's the QoS tab from my EPC2203.

    Hi Guys

Just got this installed with the 30mmb option and am wondering if it is possible to install a range extender or has UPC blocked this option. I can get it (WRE54g) installed and the signal is great but the network doesn't support the signal ( that's the message I get) Am not a dummy but this stuff is pretty complicated.

There's nothing UPC can do to block a range extender from working. It may be that the range extender doesn't support the encryption type used by the UPC modem, you may need to drop the modem back to WPA from WPA2 for example. Avoid WEP like the plague though, it's easily broken.

If you hold down the buttons at the back for several seconds and recycle the power does this reset the login and password to the router when connected via ethernet cable?

I cant seem to get the login and password for the advanced settings? its 192.168.0.1 right?

Did UPC somehow lock out their users from accessing the advanced settings?

Im with imagine but need a new router so I want to get my imagine adsl settings into this router

    thanks for any tips!
