The Castleknock Hotel and Golf Club? Its on a back road kind of, but far from being in a bad area, in fact it is within walking distance of one of the most exclusive housing estates in the west of Dublin, has huge grounds and is very very posh. It may be a bit hard to get to without directions, it is on the back roads from Castleknock to Clonsilla but no, not in a dodgy area anyway.

My sister married there and it was lovely, expensive but lovely and if you are into modern plush hotels this is one for you. I would recommend though if you are looking in that area to check out the Dunboyne castle hotel also.

Totally agree with everyone else. I've only ever been there for a training course but the bit I saw looked very plush.

It's a great spot and a great area, not sure why you were told it was dodgy.

cool - going on Sunday to check it out.

They are €89 per person I think on a Friday but that includes a choice of two mains and a toast drink as well as the rest of the usual stuff

€89, that's expensive. Anyone know what Dunboyne Castle is?
