I have just been made redundant and received a statutory and ex gratia redundancy payment coming in at a total of €15K. I have used €12.5K of this to pay off existing debt. This is my first time signing on so I have enough stamps to apply for JB but wondered if the redundancy payment would result in a means tested JA…

If you have the required stamps you will receive Jobseekers Benefit which will not take account of the redundancy payment.
