Want to restore my HTC Desire to factory froyo

I upgraded my desire to DJ Droid Froyo 2.2 and it's gotten really really buggy; nothing installs, and it keeps crashing a force closing apps.

I was wondering if there was a way to restore to factory defaults and then upgrade to Froyo 2.2.

It's an unbranded, unlocked Meteor HTC desire. I didn't back up the Rom when I upgraded as far as I know.

    Please help

    Thanks

edit: should have mentioned I'm using a Mac

Try a different ROM, I didn't really get on with that one either, I found LeeDroid was much more stable.

I don't know how to restore to stock on a Mac, but the windows .exe files for 2.1 are available and once you install and run it the OTA update to Froyo will show.
