Tyres - when should I change them

    Hi Guys

A have a few questions about tyres. For a past 4500km i didn't have any puncture up until yesterday. I had 2 , today another one. All of them on the back wheel. I have noticed few little cuts on it. So now my question. Will it be okay to put back to tire to front, and front one to the back? The front one seems to look ok. Or maybe i should just buy new back tyre.
The tyres i have are the standard ones i got with the bike - bontrager racelite hardcase 700x32, but its hard to find them online.

Should i just buy 2 new ones? If yes then which ones? I cycle to work everyday 40 km both ways, so needs something reliable.

    Any advices?

    Thanks

maybe go over the inside with a fine tooth comb first and check for a sliver of glass

You should have the "better" tyre on the front, as a blowout at speed on the front is much more dangerous than on the back.

Hence you should not put the worn one on the front - if the rear one really does need replacing, buy a new one to put on the front, and swap the front one onto the back

You can get them online in Evans

or alternatively Duffs in Santry stock them

If you're getting 4500km out of a set of tires then the amortized cost is next to nothing. Buy a new set, or at least a new one for the back.
