Watch the whole clip. The brakes overheat, causing the tyres to explode one by one. They found that the heat shield between the brake blocks and tyres had failed. That's one courageous fireman!

Would've been the same in Ireland, incompetent morons on the ground not bothering to listen or follow procedure. The idiots would've been briefed that the tyre fuse plugs would blow, and yer man is only 5 yards away when they do.

Could they not just have hit it with a foam canon from the fire truck, rather than sending in firemen with hoses to run around exploding tyres ?

First the crew are telling the firemen not to intervene, different story as soon as the tyres start popping. Its "sh1t, get the stairs! get the stairs!) hahahaha!
