    Hey!

I just bought a brand new MBP 2 hours ago and starting to play around with it as you do. I have a problem though with downloading apps. Every app I download says verification failed. I'm downloading from known sources i.e. chrome, firefox. I am definitely downloading dmgs not exes

It's a really strange problem and I'm really stumped to what is wrong with it. I have the exact same problem with my Windows 7 PC. I'm starting to think could something up with the router.

    Any ideas

    Cheers

EDIT: I am in the grandparents house at the moment , it seem to be working there on eircom, I am on UPC at the moment, any ideas?

Yeah, if the same thing is happening with your Windows PC, but only on your home network, then the culprit is probably your router and/or internet connection.

Try restarting the router, but if that doesn't help, contact UPC and tell them you are getting corrupt downloads on two computers. Make sure that you explain that you don't have this problem on other networks or else they'll probably waste a lot of time blaming it on something else.

Thanks, I called them up and apparently the router is knackered. Sending me out a new one. Cheers for the help!
