Berget 9 - Phoenix Down - 2011

The Berget 9 website is up! Preliminary ticket sales will be on Sunday 31st, for 4 hours from 7 o'clock in the evening our time. Tickets then will be 92 quid; the price will go up for the next release.

The storyline is continuing from this year's game, and some familiar units are back (unfortunately, not PsyOps). Lots of interesting stuff to choose from.

Well I am totally gutted about the dates, as the worm was about to make a big come back to the world of Berget.

But it clashes with a mates wedding on the 2nd July and that has wiped the whole team out from making the visit.

I was looking at the vids from previous years and spotted you mouthing off to your unit at number 6. Shame!

Unfortunately my own current economic climate means that to hit Berget I'm swearing off all airsoft-related travel until then, which takes me out of Operation: Typhoon et al. Oh, such hard decisions.

No worries, as its been cancelled anyway, due to difficulties in locking down a date with the MOD.

The husbag and some of the lads he plays with are looking to go to this next year.

Can I ask what is the story with transporting your weapons? It looks as though you cant take them on a flight anyway. Do you send them by DHL or hire weapons over there?
What is the travel to it like?

SAS will take airsoft guns in a hardcase.

Please see the Playing Abroad page on the IAA website for information about air transport, including to Sweden. There is also a lot of information in the Berget threads from last year and earlier this year.

Please don't call them weapons. They're designed to be as safe as possible, not to cause injury. "Guns" is fine.

It looks like the berget guys might release some more tickets:

There are several hundred players that did not have the chance to get hold of tickets.

We will have a game-master meeting later this week and after we looked over the game-balance, we are thinking of releasing more tickets to some factions.

Stay tuned for more info.

Hopefully that might mean some opportunity to swap teams as well.

Giving this a miss, if I decide to go I'll book **** last minute, from looking back over two years, there is literally no major extra cost booking last minute.

I'll see whats happening come summer.

New tickets are being released due to the insanely high demand! They're dropping them in batches. NAF today, Poldavia next Sunday, UN and civvies the week after (that's Sundays the 7th, 14th and 21st).

I only just noticed this post.

You don't need to be on a team to go to Berget. So long as you have a reasonable command of the English language (I suspect that additionally a Nordic language might also help though) you can just pick a side you like the look of, buy a ticket for it, go along and you'll be assigned to a unit.
