    This is interesting.

Thought Humax had said previously that there would be no further releases of the Foxsat software for the first generation HDR.

There are a few niggles that have work arounds which I hope will be addressed in this update.

Their engineers definately have enough feedback to know what they are.

some details on the Foxsat upgrade......... recording from the buffer !

"Michael told PVRJUNCTION they will be taking the opportunity to include a customer requested feature for the Foxsat-HDR at the same time; which will enable customers to record content stored in the time-shift buffer to the recordings library."

    Thanks homer911!
I checked on another forum and a poster from Humax indicates that the final quality testing is underway. Hopefully we will have that update shortly! The lack of recording from the buffer was really the only issue I had with this box. The problem with the clock not updating after a power outage has never affected me, but really should have been there from the beginning.

Actually, losing the buffer if the channel was changed is annoying, because it happens by accident. (e.g. when the dog steps on the remote.) Also, the inability to record from the Scart is another niggle.

Lots of little niggles, but they will not fix many of them.

No mention of the Freesat updates unfortunately - but note the issue with the move of programmes from BBC HD to BBC One HD:

    Dear Humax user,
We are pleased to announce that another high quality HD channel is about to become available on our HD receivers and PVR's. BBC 1 HD is launching on the 3rd of November and you will have to retune your Freeview HD or Freesat box after launch to receive this channel. Full instructions on how to do this are available here.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to certain programmes being moved from the existing BBC HD channel to BBC 1 HD after launch, broadcast identifier information that the PVR's use for recording these programmes will be changing. This means that previously set series recordings on these BBC HD programmes will not work unless they have been deleted from the BBC HD schedule and reset against BBC 1 HD.
    Software updates

Software updates will be broadcasting for the following products within the next month:-
    • PVR9300T, PVR9200T, PVR9150T
      • PVR9300T: 12th - 15th Nov: Version v.23 (already broadcast 7 times)
      • PVR9200T: 17th - 19th Nov: Version v.23 (already broadcast 7 times)
      • PVR9150T: 19th - 22nd Nov: Version v.23 (already broadcast 7 times)
    • HD & HDR-FOX T2, provisional 3rd - 5th Nov (check track link below for confirmation)
      • HD-FOX T2: Single Tuner PVR, with standard PVR features (new download)
      • HDR-FOX T2: Various issues and features updated (new download)
Information on the changes made by the above updates will be available here from next week.
As usual these dates are subject to changes by the broadcasters, but the ability to track these dates and any changes is available here. To check the version of the software currently on your box please click this link.

That's the Freeview PVR, not the Freesat one.

The Freesat HD PVR firmware update has been delayed due to issues found in final testing. Humax rep has posted on UK board. No new date announced yet.
