Anybody see these? I'm a big fan of i105 myself, I think its a great station.

The one I seen was on TV3 during the X-Factor on Saturday night.

Is it unusual for radio stations to advertise on TV like this? Or is it common practice?

Not really unusual. Today FM run ads all the time. Nova also advertised recently, as did 98fm if I remember correctly.

really? I never seen them before- generally don't watch ads (benefit of having sky+, plus the addition of working nearly all the time!!)

    I thought it was unusual....

I wonder why TV shows/stations don't advertise on radio? With digital TV, theres now plenty of niche channels that are trying to get viewers, could be a valuable market to tap into... also... unlike what i, and probably a huge proportion of what other people do, you can't fast forward through radio ads...

Well they do, but its not all that common, no. You'll hear ads for RTÉ TV programmes regularly enough on RTÉ radio (and the odd one for TV3 shows on the likes of Today FM).
